Password protect your home page

Home page settings control first impressions. Use Edit Home Page and Personalize Home Page from your logged-in menu. Folder views can use Personalize Folder for that folder’s style. While signed in, use Share Link in the header on your Home page to copy your main site URL (see Share Albums → Share Link).

Password protect your home page

Add a guest password to your Home page if you want to restrict public access to your album listing. This password should be different from your account password and is intended only for visitor access.

Click on "Edit Home Page"
Enter your guest password. Make sure it is different than your account password.
Click "Submit" when finished.

If you choose to use the same guest password for any of your albums, your visitors will not have to reenter the guest password to visit the album.

You may also include the guest password in the URL to your Homepage. Your guests will not be required to enter a guest password to visit to your Homepage.

Append the following to the URL: "?pa=<GUESTPASSWORD>"

For example if your username is "smithfamily" and guest password to album is "family", your URL will be: https://imageevent.com/smithfamily?pa=family

Change display name on home page and navigation

Change how your name is listed on your Homepage and the navigation in your album. To change your display name:

Log in to your account
Click "Edit Home page"
Customize your display name
Submit your changes.

Add a personal message

Add a personal message above your album listing to introduce your page or provide viewing notes. You can use plain text or HTML formatting.

To update your message:

Log in to your account
Click "Edit Home page"
Enter or edit your message
Submit your changes.

Select how albums should appear on your Home page:

Long listing with first-thumbnail preview: shows more detail and a visual preview for each album.
Short concise listing: a compact text-first list for quicker scanning.

To change listing style:

Log in to your account
Click "Edit Home page"
Select your preferred listing type
Submit your changes.

Add 3 external links to your Home page

You may add up to 3 external links to your Home page. To do this:

Log in to your account
Click "Edit Home Page"
Add up to 3 links with name and URL. Use a full URL including http:// or https://.
Submit your changes.
