Tasks for individual photos or batches: rotate, delete, copy or move to another album, reorder, get links for the web, and download. All of these start from the checkboxes next to your thumbnails. Display rotation is automatic for photos and videos (right-side up using EXIF orientation or equivalent video metadata); the Rotate buttons here change how the file is stored.
To rotate one or more images:
- Log in with your username and password. You will be directed to your home page.
- Select the album by clicking the photo of the album.
- Select the photos to be rotated by checking the box near the photo number. A check mark will appear in the block. You can select multiple images to be rotated by checking blocks of the images.
- Click Rotate in the Image Bar (above your photos) and choose 90°, 180°, or 270°. 90° rotates right, 180° flips upside down, 270° rotates left.
- The selected photos will be rotated.
Display vs permanent rotate: Photos and videos now auto-rotate on screen using the orientation they were captured with (EXIF for most still images; rotation metadata from phones, cameras, and most modern devices for video where available). That applies in thumbnails, the enlarged viewer, and slideshow, in both Standard and Enhanced layouts. The steps above are for when you want to re-save the file at a new rotation on the server.
To delete one or more images:
- Log in with your username and password. You will be directed to your home page.
- Select the album by clicking the photo of the album.
- Select the photos to be deleted by checking the box near the photo number. A check mark will appear in the block. You can select multiple images to delete by checking blocks of the images to be deleted.
- Click Delete on the Image Bar.
- You will be asked "Are you sure you want to delete the images?" Select Yes or Cancel. Selecting yes will delete the images that were selected.
To copy one or multiple images:
- Log in with your username and password. You will be directed to your home page.
- Select the album from which the images are to be copied from by clicking the photo of the album.
- Select the photos to be copied by checking the box near the photo number. A check mark will appear in the block. You can select multiple images to copy by checking blocks of the images to be copied.
- Click Move/Copy Images to Album on the Image Bar, choose the destination album in the window, then click Copy.
- Copied images appear at the end of the destination album (order may follow your upload-arrange defaults).
To move one or multiple images:
- Log in with your username and password. You will be directed to your home page.
- Select the album from which the images are to be moved from by clicking the photo of the album.
- Select the photos to be moved by checking the box near the photo number. A check mark will appear in the block. You can select multiple images to move by checking blocks of the images to be moved.
- Click Move/Copy Images to Album, choose the destination album, then click Move.
- Images leave the current album and appear in the album you selected.
To move one photo to a different position in the album, open the album while signed in. Click the image’s number (the small control next to the thumbnail). A window opens; pick the new position and confirm.
To reorder every photo in the album at once, open the album while signed in and use the Image Bar above the thumbnails. Under Rearrange all (not shown for linked albums), you can:
- Reverse — flip the entire sequence end-to-end (first and last swap, and so on).
- Alphabetize — sort all photos by filename; numbers sort in natural order (for example, photo2 before photo10).
- Date Taken — sort by capture date when EXIF date/time is available; otherwise the stored file date is used.
Each action opens a short confirmation window. After you confirm, the album reloads with the new order. These tools affect the whole album, not only checked photos.
Premium accounts can hotlink generated sizes (thumbnail through original) for auctions, listings, and forums. Open the photo enlarged, then use Image properties on the top toolbar row in Enhanced layout—to copy the URL for the size you need, or use Image Embeds for batch HTML. Example <img> src:<IMG SRC="https://photos.imageevent.com/username/albumname/websize/photo1.jpg">
Album link example:<A HREF="https://imageevent.com/username/albumname">Album title</A>
While signed in, check one or more thumbnails, then open Image Embeds on the Image Bar. The embed page builds paste-ready output:
- — One image URL per line (chat, docs, simple link fields).
- — Inline
<img>, thumbnail-linked-to-full, or link-only <a> (when sites strip images).
- — e.g.
and forum-style thumbnail links.
- —
or nested thumbnail Markdown.
Choose size, optional titles/descriptions, then Copy to clipboard or Preview for HTML.
Try Copy and Download
This demo uses separate Copy and Download buttons so you can try each step. In a real album’s enlarged view, Share on the viewer toolbar opens a menu that includes Download for the current photo or video, plus share link, copy media, and copy link (see Enlarged view: share, gestures & keys). The tiny sample image below is only for practice.
Guests can download one item or many items at once when download permissions are enabled.
If guests cannot download:
- In Global Settings, set Download ability to allow downloads for guests who should have them.
- If the album uses Right click disable, it can block saving; adjust that in Edit Album when downloads should be allowed.
To download selected items:
- Go to the album.
- Select one or more images/videos/documents by checking each thumbnail box.
- Click "Download".
- Select the file size/version you want, then confirm.
To download all items:
- Click "Show all Images".
- Click "Select All".
- Click "Download".
