Day-to-day album care: captions and comments, making the page look like yours, guest preview, and housekeeping (reorder, delete, add more photos).
ImageEvent provides two photo-description modes. In one mode, only the owner can edit descriptions. In the other mode, visitors can also contribute. Guests do not need an ImageEvent account to add comments. Visitor editing is best for collaborative albums, such as family archives. Owner-only mode is recommended for controlled publishing.
When enabled, guests may add per-photo comments (name, email, comment) from the photo page; you can remove entries anytime.
The guestbook and email-to-owner modes are chosen in album settings. Owners can edit or delete guestbook posts.
Guestbook: visitors fill in name, email, and comment, then submit; entries appear on the album. Some themes open a dedicated guestbook view for extended paging or entry management.
Email comment: visitors send a private message to the owner through ImageEvent without exposing the owner’s address on the page.
Sign in, open the album, and tap Personalize on the Album Bar (some older screens say Personalize My Album). You can change:
- Color theme — Pick a ready-made look, or copy a theme from another album in your account.
- Font — Choose from 18 fonts to match the mood of your album.
- Header image — Optional picture across the top.
- Background — Optional backdrop behind your thumbnails.
- Element colors — Fine-tune borders, bars, and accents from a color grid.
Watch the live preview as you go. Save keeps your changes, Undo steps back unsaved tweaks, and Cancel leaves the last saved look in place.
Toolbar and viewer buttons pick up these colors so they match your theme instead of using generic picture-buttons.
The owner of the album can see all the statistics on the photos of the album. The statistics show the following:
- Number of hits for each image.
- Total number of hits combined of all your images
- Number of visits to your album.
Use View as Guest to preview albums and folders exactly the way a guest user will see them. This is helpful before sending links to clients or sharing publicly.
When you click View as Guest, you will see:
- Switched to Guest View
- You are now viewing your albums as a guest.
To return to your full owner controls, click View as Owner. This button is located in the top-right area of the header.
From your home page or an open folder, click the album’s list number. A small window opens where you pick the new position and confirm. The list reorders immediately after you save.
To remove an album.
- Log in with your username and password. You will be directed to your home page.
- Click Delete on the album you want to remove. You will be asked “Are you sure you want to delete this album?”
- Select Yes or Cancel. Selecting yes will delete the album.
Once your images are uploaded, you may continue to upload more images to your album. Go to your album, and click either "Easy Upload" or "Mega Upload" in the album bar.
You may also update options, description, and security (columns, default view size, privacy, and more) with Edit Album on the Album Bar.
