2009 TEJANO SHOWCASE (October 9th & 10th, 2009)It was great hearing all the groups at this 2-day Tejano event. We were especially happy to see & hear Bobby Esquivel & The Liberty Band and also Avizo, as it has been years since we've seen either group and really enjoyed their performances. Many thanks to Bobby Exquivel for the shoutouts, you made our night and we hope to see you back in Arizona soon!
Kudos to the Casino Del Sol for having Grupo Vida inside Friday night for a free show! The place was completely packed and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely.
Another shoutout is going out to...George, Adalberto Gallegos' friend, we thank you for your kind words and little message from Albert. Also to Joel, Vida's Accordionist and Roy, singer for the Liberty Band! We'll see you all again soon!

MENDEZ BENEFIT AT HENRY JACK'S PLACE (Sunday, August 9, 2009)On behalf of the family of Mario A. Mendez, they would like to thank everyone who came out this past Sunday night to Henrys Jack's Place.
Some of Arizona's hottest bands and musicians donated their time to entertain a packed house who came to show their support.
The bands who performed this evening were:
Smiley Y Puro Corazon, La Familia, XS Band, The Untouchables, Reality Band, and Passion who drove in all the way from Tucson.
We all got a special treat when 12 yr. old Yaya Cano joined XS Band on the squeezbox. She is the daughter of Mike Cano, drummer for the group and niece of Arizona's own Squeezbox Queen, Christina Islas. Way to go Yaya!! We look forward to seeing you perform again really soon!
We also were blown away by a new group in Phx. The Untouchables! Looking forward to hearing more of your group Sammy.
Once again thanks to everyone who donated their musical talents, donated Raffle prizes, Henrys Jack's Place and their staff, Prepared & served the food, made monetary donations, all the businesses, TEJ-AZ Promotions, and you, the community who came together for the Mendez family. 2009 TEJANO SUPERDANCE (July 17 & 18, 20090)The Academy of Tejano Artists & Musician's Annual Superdance at Bally's Casino was the place to be this past weekend! The Academy showcased a star studded line-up with awesome Tejano and Conjunto music each night. It was nice hearing Los Dudes whom we had never heard live before as well as the Hometown Boys who have added new members to their group. Awesome, awesome music!!

PRESSION (June 26, 2009)Henry's Jacks Place had the party people in the house this past Friday night. Pression from Dallas, Texas made the long trip out to Avondale and put on a terrific show for us with their awesome conjunto sound. Jesus Garces Jr. has a very talented family as all band members but one, are his sons & grandson.
The XS Band opened up the evening and are gaining new fans each time they play. They are quickly becoming of of Arizona's favorites!
A Million thanks to all who attended this show and especially to all the sponsors to made this night possible! This was TEJ-AZ Promotions first show and all of you came together to support the music we all love here in the Valley of the Sun.

FATHER'S DAY CONCERT @ THE AVA (Saturday, June 20, 2009)Sol Casinos in Tucson put on a stellar show this past Saturday celebrating Father's Day.
Tucson's own Myzterio opened up the event with a great performance featuring Louie Martinez on Lead Vocals. Myzterio also played afterwards inside a packed Casino. They kept the dancefloor moving till 2 a.m.! Great job guys!
It was well worth the wait of a few years since Grupo Vida had performed in Arizona. A very eager crowd lined up by the stage to see this awesome showband. They loved every minute of Vida's high powered, entertaining performance which included brand new music from their newly released CD entitled "Generations". If you missed this show, you will have another chance to see Vida in early September! Details will be listed on our website soon!
Roger Velasquez, the Latin Legends, Bob Gallarza, and Jimmy Edwards hit the stage next and brought back that classic tejano sound. Ram Herrera and Jay Perez then closed out a very enjoyable evening.
Many thanks once again to the Pasqua Yaqui Tribe for a great show!!

There was a party crowd in the house and everyone really enjoyed Monica's music! ... So much that the crowd chanted "Otra!" 3 different times at the end of the night! Monica and Exito graciously honored the crowd's requests each time.

THE TEXMEX KADILLAKS (January 30, 2009)The TEXMEX KADILLAKS rode into Phoenix this past Friday night to entertain a great crowd at the Pajarito Nightclub in Phoenix. Many thanks to La Tejanita PeeWee of Arizona Promotions for booking this group whom many of us have waited a very long time to see. We hope that this is only the first of many times that the group visits and performs in Arizona. They put on a heck of a show!

NEW YEAR'S EVE 2008 (December 31, 2008)We spent our New Year's Eve with some great friends and great music from Los TexManiacs and Rebecca Valadez at the Casino Del Sol in Tucson, AZ. This was our third or fourth year attending the Sol Casino's New Year's Eve bash and we enjoy ourselves each time!
Opening groups were Los Musicales and Los Hermanos Cuatro from Tucson. These two groups did an awesome job getting everyone ready for Los TexManiacs who brought us into the year 2009. It was also great hearing Rebecca Valadez, who has a terrific voice! We had the chance to hear Rebecca in Las Vegas before and were happy to have gotten the chance to hear her perform again.
Max & David, it's always a pleasure seeing you guys. We love your music and look forward to seeing you again. Continued success to all of you!

RUBEN RAMOS & THE MEXICAN REVOLUTION (November 28, 2008)Good times...Good times!!!
We really enjoyed ourselves this past Friday at the Corona Ranch in Phx. Martin Sanchez of Latinos Now brought in none other than "El Gato Negro" himself, Ruben Ramos and the Mexican Revolution. It was great seeing the Corona Ranch packed!
Opening up the evening was Phx. group Ambicion, followed by Puro Corazon featuring Smiley. It was our very first time hearing Puro Corazon and we look forward to hearing more of this group.

It's always great seeing you Sunny and Greg, and it was very nice meeting you Leroy and Tiny! We are anxiously looking forward to the new CD release!
We salute the die-hard Tejano fans who came out to show their support. A huge shout out goes to promoter Mr. Robert for bringing out awesome Tejano talent to Tucson! Also to our friends Albert B & Familia, Tejano 1600 & The WildCat House for a special night of Tejano Music and great memories.

GARY G NARANJO CD RELEASE PARTY (Sunday, October 12, 2008)Oaxaca Bar & Grill held Gary G. Naranjo's Phoenix CD Release party this past Sunday. Gary's CD is entitled, "Keeping It Real". It has 10 songs, 3 of which Gary wrote along with another songwriter.
Thank you Gary for inviting us out. It was very nice meeting you and we wish you the best as you continue on your CD tour.

2008 TUCSON TEJANO SHOWCASE (October 3rd & 4th, 2008)What a weekend! Tucson was definately the place to be! We enjoyed two days of Tejano & Conjunto music at the AVA Amphitheater.
Tucson groups, Los Hermanos Cuatro and Passion opened up each night of the Showcase respectively. With Los Dos Gilbertos, Los Badd Boyz Del Valle, The Navairas & Jaime Y Los Chamacos performing on Friday night. Saturday, the groups were, Jessy & Brandy Bee Serrata, La Fiebre, Ricardo Castillon, Chente Barrera Y Taconazo & Jay Perez.
After each night's show everyone, including visiting musicians, headed over to the Casino for a little gambling and more music which was provided by Tucson groups, Myzterio & Los Musicales. Kudos go out to Ricardo Castillon of La Differenzia who sang a few songs with Los Musicales on Saturday night!
A big shoutout also goes out to Los Badd Boyz Del Valle. It was great kickin' it with you all and getting to know you guys a little better.

BONI MAURICIO Y LOS MAXIMOS (August 8 & 9, 2008)It was a super conjunto weekend!!! BONI MAURICIO y LOS MAXIMOS... came out to a very hot Arizona & delivered to us, a stroll down memory lane... conjunto style!!! This group consisted of Boni on accordion, Chuy Flores on bass, Raymond Garcia on drums and Adan De La Rosa on bajo.
... A big "thank you" goes out to all the die-hard conjunto fans de Phoenix, Casa Grande & Tucson...for attending in Phoenix and Eloy. Kudos also go out to David Carolla of La Onda by South Central Promotions for recognizing the awesome talent that this group has and bringing them out!
We would also like give a shout out to Jessy Serrata & New Wave Band who also made the trip out west to Arizona and performed at the Coyoacan Steakhouse. A salute goes to the opening bands Puro Corazon Band in Phx & The Jammin Band at the Eloy concert. As you can see from the pictures everyone had a blast!

LA TROPA F (Saturday, July 12, 2008)La Tropa F, an old favorite, performed this past Saturday for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe's Recognition of their new council.
The tribe really went all out for this celebration as white tents, tables & tablecloths covered the entire west side of the AVA Amphitheater and served a wide array of food.
Opening up for La Tropa F was Tucson's own Passion Band. Al always tears it up on Accordion and is one of the State's best accordionists! Be sure to catch one of their shows if you get the chance.
Many thanks to the gentleman who got my friends and I backstage, on stage (lol!) & into the green room. You rock!
After the show, we headed over to the Casino del Sol and caught a group that I had never had the chance to hear before. Los Nawdy Dawgs! They're a Latin Blues band that plays an wide range of music...including some of my favorties from Mana. It was great meeting you guys and hope to see you again real soon! TEJANO SUPERDANCE IN VEGAS (July 4th & 5th, 2008)The Academy of Tejano Artists and Musicians held it's very first Tejano Superdance in Las Vegas this past Independance Day weekend, where Tejanos came together at the Riviera Hotel & Casino.
Artists performing were: Jessy Serrata & his daughter Brandi Bee, David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales, Jaime Y Los Chamacos, Roberto Pulido, Los Bad Boys del Valle, Los Desperadoz, Ram Herrera, Jay Perez & Raulito Navaira.
Many thanks to the Academy for hearing many Tejano Fans request's and bringing a Tejano Weekend back to Las Vegas. We all had a great time!
Eddie & I would like to thank Chayo Zaldivar, David Lee Garza, Art Guillermo, and Rick Balderrama of the Academy Board of Directors, for the acknowledgment and encouragement to keep doing what we're doing. Coming from you Chayo, it meant the world to us! Thank You!

2008 FAJITA FESTIVAL (Saturday, June 28, 2008)The 2008 Fajita Festival was held this past Saturday in Flagstaff, AZ. Flagstaff welcomed a few of our Arizona groups as well a two from New Mexico.
Los Gallegos, Ambicion, Alena Chavez, April Zamora & Juntos Unidos played for a huge number of festival goers as they enjoyed the many choices of Fajitas.

2008 TUCSON TEJANO SHOOTOUT (Saturday, March 5, 2008)Puro Accordion...Mano a Mano...ALBERT ZAMORA & JAIME DE ANDA...What a show it was on Saturday Night!!!! Thanks to all the great bands who came to perform for us at the Casino Del Sol in Tucson! A show that will be remembered for years by the raza in attendance that night. Shout outs to JAIME Y LOS CHAMACOS, AUGUSTINE RAMIREZ, RUBEN RAMOS & THE MEXICAN REVOLUTION, JOE BRAVO & LOS HERMANOS CUATRO!!! Our sincere appologies to Joe Bravo and Los Hermanos Cuatro, we arrived late, but we're certain that you all put on terrific performances!
A Huge Thank-you to ALBERT ZAMORA y TALENTO for recognizing us in the crowd & for the Shout-out!!! That was the ultimate compliment! Much love and respect to you.
A special shout out also goes to Tucson's own MYZTERIO for keeping the party going inside the casino. They had the place rockin'!
