We are a very small kennel that produces only the "BEST" Rat Terrier puppies. We are located in the shadows of Mt Hood in Oregon. We take pride in our dogs and all the hard we have accomplished.



We have had now 14 years (1998) enjoying this wonderful breed of dog. We have worked very hard meeting our goal to breed the best quality Rat Terrier bloodlines for you from around the country into one kennel.We produce Miniature (11-13 inches at the shoulders), Standard (13.1-18inches at the shoulders) Rat Terriers.

Best Rat Terriers Kennel is now producing outstanding puppies just for you. The puppies born here are for show, hunting, and family pets. All new puppy owners receive a lifetime guarantee that none of our pups will carry a congenital defect. All puppies are raised inside our home. They are handled and cared for everyday from all of our family. We ALWAYS have very socialized pups. All pups are wormed regularly, given two 5-way puppy vaccines before they leave our home. We will ship your puppy to you if it is needed.




Please note, as a new puppy owner the weight of the dog will vary depending on the size of the individual dog. We "ONLY" breed the type A Rat Terrier (That is the longer leg Rat Terriers). Best Rat Terriers Kennel does not breed Merle's or the Teddy Roosevelt "B" Rat Terriers, which are short legged. Puppies come in every color that the UCK & UCKI Rat Terrier breed standards have accepted. You can choose from the basic traditional tri’s (as in 3 colors, white being one of the colors) and bi’s (as in 2 colors, white being one of the color). The coat patterns are the traditional piebald, sable, and tuxedo.

As you become a new Rat Terrier Puppy owner there are a few things you should know about this wonderful dog breed. They are very loyal & loving pets. Rat Terriers love to please you. They are the finest all purpose dogs around. Rat Terriers fit into city life as well as on the farm. The Rat Terrier is an energetic alert dog whose curiosity and intelligence make them "VERY" easy to train. Rat Terriers are sometimes described as having a dual personality. They are a fearless, tenacious hunter with seemingly unlimited energy. When they are not hunting, however, the Rat Terrier is an exceptionally friendly companion. Rat Terriers get along well with children, other dogs, and even cats.
