46 wdx (June 26, 2005)This is a 46 WDX (serial # 83903104). It was bought new by the city of Harlan, Iowa. It had a Flat bed and they used the front winch to raise transformers to mount on poles. It was kept indoors most of its life. It eventually went to a salvage yard where the owner was smart enough to keep it original. I am the 3rd owner and it does have a title.
I took the front fenders off to straighten them. I changed the points, plugs and wires. It ran briefly from a gravity feed gas can.
The bad-- the number 6 piston has a broken skirt. It has not damaged the wall as far as I can tell.
It is a very good original truck and would be perfect for a project. Very little rust as you can see from the pictures.
