I will be updating this section regularly with cards and other items I am willing to trade or sell. Please also check my baseball and other cards for sale page, by using the scroll bar above.
If you want an item you see here, please email me at warshawlaw@sbcglobal.net. I will check availability and respond with purchase instructions. I accept checks, money orders, cash (of course). No paypal on cards; sorry.
All items are shipped priority mail (USA) for $4.80 (I do not mark up for handling, nor do I charge for packaging). I will jam as many items as I can into a 2# flat rate envelope for you, to cut your shipping costs to the bone. Where an item is designated "postpaid" it means I will pay regular mail postage in an envelope, padded mailer or small box, as appropriate. Insurance is extra at USPS rates. If you decide to buy an item without shipping insurance, it ships entirely at your risk of loss. Please ask all questions in advance and ask for more scans if you are unsure of something because this is not Sears and I do not take returns. Transactions are governed by CA law and deemed performed in Burbank, CA; all disputes are to be resolved in the Los Angeles Superior Court in Burbank, CA. Certificates of authenticity will be issued when required by CA law and may be passed through to you from original autograph issuers.

5 Boxing Card Encyclopedia, Price Guide and Checklist New Edition for 2008-2009 now available at http://www.lulu.com/content/4080252
Until I published the first edition of this comprehensive guide to American boxing cards from 1886 to 1966, one of the last areas of sports card collecting left without a decent guide was boxing cards. The book listed here today is a brand new revised 5th edition. I have added many new sets and hundreds of up to date REAL prices for cards.
I cover virtually every major set issued from 1862 to 1966. Items are given an encyclopedic treatment, with extensive written commentaries on the cards and hundreds of illustrations, checklists and prices. The first third of the book is devoted to 19th century issues. The middle third of the book covers 20th century cards, including virtually all of the T cards and E cards, as well as Goudey, York, Leaf, Topps, etc. I am especially proud of the third section, which catalogues and exhaustively checklists the issues of the Exhibit Supply Company.
6 1951 Ringside Jersey Joe Walcott autographed card JSA authenticated and BVG encapsulated card of this HOFer and champion. Of course since the signature is authenticated by one of the best in the business, you know it is good. $150.00
A great heavyweight champion, Walcott held the title from 1951-1952 after winning it at age 37.
7 1951 Ringside Jimmy Carter autographed card JSA authenticated and BVG encapsulated card of this HOFer and champion. Of course since the signature is authenticated by one of the best in the business, you know it is good. $100.00
8 1951 Ringside Sandy Saddler autographed card JSA authenticated and BVG encapsulated card of this HOFer and champion. Of course since the signature is authenticated by one of the best in the business, you know it is good. $125.00
One of the greatest knockout artists in history, Saddler had over 100 KOs.
9 1951 Ringside Ruby Goldstein autograph JSA authenticated and BVG encapsulated card of this HOFer and champion. Of course since the signature is authenticated by one of the best in the business, you know it is good. $200.00
The Jewel of the Ghetto, as he was called, Goldstein is one of the great Jewish fighters to come out of the slums of New York City. He was later a referee involved in some of the great fights of the 1950s and 1960s, including the infamous Benny Paret death match.
10 1951 Ringside Paul Berlenbach autographed card JSA authenticated and BVG encapsulated card of this HOFer and champion. Of course since the signature is authenticated by one of the best in the business, you know it is good. $125.00
11 1951 Ringside Lou Ambers autographed card JSA authenticated and BVG encapsulated card of this HOFer and champion. Of course since the signature is authenticated by one of the best in the business, you know it is good. $125.00
12 1951 Rinsgide Tony Zale autograph JSA authenticated and BVG encapsulated card of this HOFer and champion. Of course since the signature is authenticated by one of the best in the business, you know it is good. $125.00
One of the great middleweights, he also has one of the best nicknames ever, the Man of Steel.
13 E79 Johnson and Cole The E79 set is the principal caramel set of the early part of the 20th century. It contains three cards with Jack Johnson. Here is one of them. $200.00
14 Matt Wells PC This British-issued Beagles postcard depicts Jewish fighter Matt Wells. $25
15 Box Stein willard The Max Stein company issued a series of athlete and other celebrity postcards. Included was this ca. 1915 PC of Jess Willard, who defeated Jack Johnson and reigned as heavyweight champ until Jack Dempsey demolished him in 1919. $20.00
16 1946 Fitzsimmons $50 (condition) I purchased a scrapbook of boxing images (from the late 1940s) which had a full set of these cards pasted into it, substantiating the issue date. Unfortunately, the cards were cut into silhouettes by the scrapbooker.
17 1946 Jeffries $125 The post card-sized, blank-backed cards are printed on a thin chipboard similar to what was used for strip cards in the 1920’s.
Given their scarcity, genuine cards from the set are expensive. A full set in near mint condition sold at the 2006 National for $2,000.
18 1946 Schmeling $75 I am not entirely sure that the reprints were unauthorized; they may be merely updates on the set with the Louis simply unchanged from laziness. The original cards from this set can be found in blue, black or red inks.
19 1946 Tunney $100 There are known pose variations (Braddock has a close up pose) and legend variations (Baer has a different font and typeset).
20 1946 Willard $75 The original set can also be found on a slightly higher grade stock similar to an index card stock. I have only one specimen of this version, a light yellow stock Fitzsimmons.
21 1936 La Salle Hats Joe Gans $75.00 Here is a chance to pick up some very difficult cards. The La Salle Hats set is a trade card set that was used to promote clothing in partnership with local shops. It has 8 cards and came in an envelope. I am offering three cards (Gans, Wolgast and Ambers) with clean backs and a single pinhole each, and one card with a few creases and a period stamp on the back from a local clothier, but no pinhole (Ambers). You decide which aesthetic you prefer; they are priced identically.
