Dynamite Rats A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME: I consider myself to be a small, responsible breeder. I breed for show quality dogs but also realize not every pup will turn out to be a show dog. These pups will go on to make great family members for some lucky family. Nothing wrong with being pretty AND being a beloved pet. Not everyone has to be a star. I believe in health testing & currently working on getting all my dogs tested.  I will be testing for PLL, Cardiac & Patellas. Males will be tested for Hips also. My goal is to breed healthy Rats with great conformation, intelligence & fantastic personalities. I have Mini's & Standards. I also believe they should have some prey drive, which is one of the foundations of the breed. I realize not everyone wants to hunt but it is a part of the breed that should not be lost. They are great at keeping your property varmint free. I've had many different kinds of animals in my life time but the two constants have been horses & dogs. I raised Min Pins for 17 years before I made the transition to Rat Terriers. It all started with my last Min Pin. She turned out to be a BIG girl at 14" & 19lbs! I loved her size & her build, which cause me to ponder my direction as a breeder. I had a choice to make: breed large, bigger built Min Pins & go against the breed standard or find a breed that embodied those qualities. About that time someone on the Yahoo Min Pin group I was on posted pictures of her Rat Terrier. I was immediately intrigued by this "pinto'd", chocolate & white tri terrier! I started chatting with the owner, Doreen, via email. She was more than willing to share info on the breed. Thanks Doreen. You know who you are!:) I bought my first Rat Terrier about a year later and the rest is history! I  love the variety in the Rat Terriers! Mini's & Standards; tails docked or with tails; Upright, folded or tipped ears. Not to mention the variety of colors! There is something for everyone! I have also been blessed to meet some great Rat Terrier breeders along the way. Our dogs carry Fire Mountain, Monterey, CalVal & some Maxwell lines. I am still learning & researching lines, so may bring in other lines later. We are located in Southern California. Ziva x Dually  (03/28/12) Ziva's puppies are here!  She was a bit sneaky & had them a few days early, but they are healthy & beautiful!!   **PUPS ON BREEDER HOLD until picks are made between 6-8 weeks** ** 02/22/12 Deposit rec'd for one female. ** 6 Albums Shared Folder 3. Bess x Dually puppies  (04/03/12) Bess & her sister Ziva have both had their litters, 8 days apart.  We have black/white's, blue/white's & 1 chocolate/white.   **PUPS ON BREEDER HOLD.
