Our Home (July 18, 2007)
We live in a 112 year old farm house in a very rural area of South Carolina. Our house was built by the Norfolk Southern Railroad. It's original occupants were responsible for refilling the steam engines from a water tower across the road (now gone).
We have dense woods behind us, a huge pasture on one side and an open field on the other side. I can sit on my front porch and watch deer and rabbits scamper across the pasture in the evenings. It is very serene here and the only sounds we hear are my wind chimes in the evening breeze and barks from my beloved dogs when an "invader" appears.
The dogs have four play yards fenced with five foot chain link fencing. They have almost full shade (most of the day) and lots of room to run. We are very blessed to live in this small, close knit community and enjoy such beautiful surroundings.
