Adults for adoption as of 11/22/2005 | These adult rat terriers are looking for forever indoor homes. They are either spay/neutered or will be prior to leaving here. These dogs are socialized and very affectionate, playful and intelligent. Please consider adopting one of these wonderful dogs as a pet. Rat Terriers live to be in their mid to late teens. |

WhisperWind's Rebound-Agility dog (7/8/2004)Reese, now Rebound is a very talented dog. He championed in the Conformation ring very quickly and is now on his was to an Agility Championship. Jill Peters took him to his conformation championship and taught him very well. Now Tracy Sklenar is showing him in agility and winning! 10/12/04 UPDATE from Rebound's owner. BTW, Rebound is entered in the Steeplechase at Nationals, and he is also competing in the Dog Agility Masters Team Tournament. I am pretty sure he will be one of the youngest dogs there (you cannot even compete until the dog is 18 months old!). It should be exciting! He is out of Whisperwind's Muddy River and Dixie and is a very handsome boy. |

Adults and pups bred at Whisperwind | These are some of our pups who have become adults and also some that are still pups. Three are champions, all under one year of age when championed. Two of the three are now doing agility and will soon champion in their class. I am very proud of my dogs and the wonderful owners they have gone to! |

A Tribute to "Sparky" | On May 22, 2004, Sparky passed over the rainbow bridge. When we moved here sixteen years ago, Sparky came up our driveway, full grown but young, a full male who had obviously been fighting over a beautiful female. From that day on, Sparky never left. We had his wounds and his manhood fixed at the vet and he was our outside sentry. He was very road wise, we never had to worry about him until two years ago when he went deaf and could no longer hear the noise of the oncoming cars. He would wait for us to come home from work at the curve of the drive in his earlier days, and if we put a car down at the bottom of the drive to sell he was always there lying by it, protecting it. He let puppies sleep on him until 5/22 and never hurt one. He had a very happy life and made everyone who met him's life happier for it. I love you Sparky! |

North Carolina Deer | My neighbor feeds both deer and wild turkeys. We have seven deer that pass thru our yard daily and they completely ignore the dogs' barking. I am still learning to use the zoom on my camera and hope to have better pics soon. They will stand within 20 feet of me and just stare. Of course, I never have my camera ready. The deer here are smaller than those in MI, but larger than those in FL. |
