Cow: Hobé Jewelry (Hoe-Bay)

A true "family affair" from Jacques Hobe to his son William, and then to William's sons Robert and Donald Hobe,on to their sons. It was said of William Hobe that he was a connoisseur of antique jewelry and Hobe interprets historical designs into modern settings,foregoing none of the original artistry,no matter what the price.

In 1927 William Hobe founded the American Hobe Cie jewelry company and in the 1950's designed pieces for many Hollywood stars. In the 1960's Robert and Donald took over running the company.The original company founded by the Hobe family is now defunct.

Hobe's advertising slogan was "Jewels of Legendary Splendor".Hobe jewelry was sold only by leading department stores and exclusive boutiques.

Some of the outstanding features of Hobe jewelry are clearly seen from the selections contained in this album from Sterling to stunning rhinestones and beyond.
