Benny Harp Blues Band (February 8, 2010)Benny Harp is the front man for his blues band. He sings & plays the harmonica like none other. Benny Harp isn't new to the blues scene in fact; he has performed with various artists over the past years making other bands very successful. Benny Harp is a true instrumentalist and has an ascetical history on harmonica. Having received a level of stardom, Benny Harp states that allot of his hidden talents came from his activity in early school glee clubs. His advice to young people wanting to learn, "School is important". He adds by saying, "It takes a lot of work and effort to be a rising star, so stay focused and work hard in order to reap the benefits in your future." Benny Harp first started playing guitar for a rock band in the 70's generation in Rocks History. In the 80's Benny Harp performed for the band Rhythm Kings with Henry Perez getting his certainty with the harmonica. By 1985, Benny Harp joined the Pure Poison Blues Band where he made his first video after 10 years in 1995, than changed the name to Beta Blues Band and which established him with a front man position as a full time vocalist and harmonist. In all this, the harmonica act came buy accident but has led his success now in Blues Lovers Life for his fans. In 2004 Benny Blues Band came into raps to call himself his own originator. Benny Harp has also helped other musicians (for example) Doug Sahlm, Jack Barber,& Bo Diddley to say the least... BENNY HARP CD RELEASE IN MEMORY OF ELIDA

SAN ANTONIO, TX – In what is being billed as the most important weekend in the Tejano Music industry,TEJANO MUSIC 2010 will bring together the Tejano Music Awards and the Tejano Music National Convention in an unprecedented display of unity from two of the most influential events in the music genre. Olathe, Kansas-based Latin Pointe will produce TEJANO MUSIC 2010 weekend.
“We are pleased to have the Tejano Music Awards join with the Tejano Music National Convention in celebrating our historic 30-year anniversary,” says Frank Salazar, TTMA Board Vice President, “Having the top producers from important events such as the Latino Inaugural Gala, ALMA Awards and Premios Deportes reinforces our belief that this year’s Tejano Music Awards will be spectacular.
"The Tejano Music Awards will be celebrating 30 years of bestowing the industry’s most prestigious annual honors to the best in Tejano music. The Awards were created in 1980 by the Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA) as a way to recognize artistic efforts and achievements in Tejano music.
In its 7Th year,the Tejano Music National Convention serves as the meeting ground for Tejano music enthusiasts, fans and other music industry representatives, gathered in support of advancing the growth of the Tejano (Tex-Mex)music genre as an original American art form.
