Hi all, and thanks for visiting Killen's Rat Terriers. We're located in Georgia. These are mostly photos of our Rat Terriers, but also our other animals many of which are rescues. Rat Terriers make great hunters, pets/companions and with plenty of excersize & attention they'll make a wonderful addition to your family. We raise a couple of litters of Rat Terriers a year and make them available to homes who want to make them part of their family. Our goal is to breed for quality - proper temperament, confirmation, correct ear carriage, & health. They are sold with a health guarantee & a contract. If you're interested in one of our puppies, let us know what your interests are so that we can try to insure that you & your new Rat Terrier are going to be happy together. It was not as easy back then to find a Decker as it is now. We talked with all the Decker breeders we could find then. In March of 2002 we aquired Cindy as a 2 year old adult. At the time we didn't know that subsequent research would reveal that she was in fact a 100% female, one of only several like her that is a valuable part of the Decker gene pool. To shorten this story even more, we do not plan to become large scale breeders. Cindy will be bred one more time before retiring her. If in a couple of years the 2 pups we kept from her 1st mating are healthy/quality examples of the Deckers, we will breed them in an effort to continue the line. Our main concern is the placement of the pups we breed, and their welfare/happiness is of the utmost importance to us. While I do realize that one can never be completely assured that their placement will be what we consider a success, we must try our best to find them homes in which they will get adequate attention. This attention includes providing them with sufficient time with their human companions and sufficient training to insure that all will have a harmonious relationship. We make it known to all the families that if they're not happy with their pup/dog that we will take it back. We never want any to end up in a shelter, neglected or unwanted. 7 Albums Shared Folder 9. We prefer that our puppies/adults go to an in home enviroment as part of your family, and not kenneled outside.
