Bull Brooch-Mythology? (November 2, 2007)| This is a costume jewelry brooch...not expensive...why have this figure of a bull? Is this from mythology? Doesn't look like a horoscope Taurus. Any help in identifying would be appreciated since this is not the 'pretty' type of picture usually seen on a pin. |

Trifari Jelly Belly Sterling Silver (October 2007)This is a stellar 3 piece Crown Trifari Sterling Silver Jelly Belly moonstone parure of fur clip, bracelet and clip on earrings. They date from the mid 1940s and would have been Alfred Philippe. There are clear grey jelly belly cabochons with small ruby red rhinestones and tiny clear stones. The style is a graceful leaf with the jelly belly looking like grapes and the red as berries. There is a gold vermeil wash over the sterling. It is amazing that all stones are present except for one small clear rhinestone on the fur clip where the edge of the leaf turns up.
The markings are Sterling, Trifari with the large crown, 140780, US Pat No 140797. It is unusual to see all these pieces together and in such good condition. The two prongs on the fur clip are in excellent working order.
This wonderful parure came in from an estate liquidation where the family had only the best of everything. Bracelet is 7 inches. Earrings are 1 1/4 and clip is 2 1/4 inches.

Miriam Haskell Pearl Necklace (October 2007)This is an early Miriam Haskell designer signed pearl necklace that features large faux white baroque pearls with a center section that is typical of her wonderful styles. There is goldtone detailed leaves set with clear rhinestones with pearls dangling like grapes on a brass color metal links.
There is very slight verdigris on the ends of some of the pins on these beads. I have left this for the new owner to remove or keep the same whichever they prefer.
The overall condition except as mentioned above is excellent.
The reverse of the box style clasp has the raised oval with Miriam Haskell in raised letters. This is one of the rarer marks.
The center section is 2 inches long and the necklace is 15 inches.
