Butterscotch Bakelite Painted Mexican Sombrero Pin
What a rare find. This carved butterscotch bakelite Mexican man is wearing a big colorful painted sombrero with matching colorful painted poncho. His face has great detail also , with a thick black mustache and black sideburns, a distinctive nose and detailed eye and ear. There is some paint loss which is normal for a piece this old, but I would still rate this pin in very good condition. Measures 3 inches by 3 inches.

My oh my, what a fabulous find! This fabulous pin was made by DeLizza & Elster and is said to be one of the most sought after designs by D&E. Variations of this pin are featured in Katerina Musetti's book, "The Art of Juliana Jewelry" on several pages.
First, if is referenced on page 13, stating:" Superb Art Deco theme with layers of hyacinth, cognac, teal blue and green mounted against japanned metal with rivoli center."
the next book reference is on page 152. The caption under this photo states that this particular line is: " Rare and highly sought after". Last page referencing this piece is 173, which states:"highly desirable and rare jappaned brooch in an Art Deco theme."

Too cool for words! Fabulous triple strand signed Trifari vintage necklace with a large center pendant.The pendant is really cool and has the prettiest shade of 14 light green dangles, somewhat of a honeydew melon color. There are two outer chains that really showcase the large pendant. The clasp is a nice sturdy fold over clasp, and the back of it is signed. The pendant measures 5 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. The back metal portion of the pendant is also signed. The longest chain measures a total of 34 inches long. The shortest chain with the pendant is 17 inches long. I will rarely say a vintage item is in mint condition, but this necklace almost a close as it gets. Not a speck of color loss to the gold tone findings that I can find. Don't let this hard to find super cool necklace get away! $125USD

Joseff of Hollywood Rare Vintage Bee & Flower Brooch
Eugene Joseff of "Joseff of Hollywood" was the premier jewelry designer of the 1930's and 1940's to a majority of the Hollywood films of that era. This large fabulous signed Joseff vintage brooch features a flower and two bumble bees with a purple glass cabochon in the center. The bees and flower petals are very detailed. This brooch is set in a silver tone plating, which is really rare , since most of Joseff's pieces were set in a gold tone. Book Piece: Avon Signed Rhinestone & Enamel Flower Brooch &
This book piece set by Avon is on page 141 of Judith Miller's book "Costume Jewelry". The flowers feature a pretty red rhinestone center with poured enamel leaves and simulated pearls on the flower stems. The brooch also has additional red rhinestone accents and the leaves have pretty faux marcasites. This set is just loaded with fine detail. The earrings are pierced and measure 1 1/2 " by 1". The matching pin measures 2 1/2" by 2". The entire set is in excellent condition.

From the fabulous designer Marcel Boucher, I have a blood red rhinestone brooch signed MARBOUX with a copyright symbol. The brooch is an exact match for the book piece bracelet & earrings on page 39 of Marcia Brown's book "Signed Beauties of Costume Jewelry" 2006 values . This book states that the bracelet and earrings are gold plated and are valued at 170.00. Maybe someone out there has the bracelet and earrings and needs this beautiful brooch to complete the set! If not, it is still a wonderful piece to add to any collection.

Joseff of Hollywood Signed Rare Vintage Rhinestone Flower Br
Eugene Joseff of "Joseff of Hollywood" was the premier jewelry designer of the 1930's and 1940's to a majority of the Hollywood films of that era. Joseff made pieces that photographed well, using a gold matte finish, known as Russian gold, developed to minimized the glare from studio lights. This highly collectible vintage pin / pendant is somewhat domed shaped, forming a flower . The center has 5 topaz colored navettes, with a round clear rhinestone in the center. There are 5 additional clear rhinestones. These are all still clear and brilliant. The goldtone metal is very detailed as well. The pin is straight and the clasp is in good working order. This Joseff brooch measures 2 1/8 inches. Overall condition is very good. It is signed “Joseff” in script.

Cellulose Lavender Orchid Brooch & Earrings Set
Fabulous lavender cellulose set that features trumpet shaped flowers, which I believe are orchids. Each has a yellow stamen which adds more beauty to the set. This is a very 3 D design. The flower petals are each accented with a rhinestone, in which the vintage glue is slightly evident. The pin has a gold tone swirling stem, which is accented with yellowish green enameling. The flower has lighter and darker accents of lavenders. The petals are also textured which have a wavy and ruffled look. What a great necklace vintage by Coro. This big chunky triple strand bib necklace has no copyright marks, so we can assume it was made prior to the mid 1950's. The colors are fabulous. To best describe them I think of pomegranate, raspberry, cranberry and a a pinky color color. Big fat lumpy beads in graduating sizes all with a marbled look. Each larger bead is separated by a black spacer bead and each strand is finished with a black bead. Antique gold color findings. This great bib necklace is adjustable from 15 to 18 inches. This Kramer vintage set is a great set for spring, summer & fall. Chunky beads in an array of great colors, including mauve, lavender, aqua, raspberry and olive green all with a marbled look. What a great pair of clip on earrings signed Barrera for Avon. These earrings are in excellent condition, showing no signs of wear. Great fun set for spring and summer! This vintage bib necklace & earrings set by D&E has chunky baubles in off white. Look at them up closely, they are really cool! Each is capped with faux crystal beads. The chain is white glass and there are sparking clear rhinestones in the mix. Shiny gold tone metal. Some of the identifying characteristics are the figure 8 puddling, the clips, and the eyelets. This set is in pristine condition. Just imagine how many outfits this will go with!

Pretty Pink & White Triple Flower 3D Brooch
This a a large brooch, almost 4 inches in total length, but it still has a very soft and dainty feel to it. Riveted to a gold color stem and leaf base are three slightly overlapping metal flowers. Each petal was cut in a wavy design around the edges. In the center of each flower is a pretty round AB rhinestone with a burst of gold tone accents .On the ends of each of these little sprays are small little gold tone balls. The flower is a darker pink in the center fading into lighter pinks and then a soft white. The leaves are also painted a goldish green color. The finish is in good condition, showing only very minimal color loss. It is barely noticeable with a naked eye, if noticed at all. This really is a pretty pin. The clasp is in good working order.

This gorgeous signed Florenza brooch is featured In Marcia Brown's "Signed Beauties of Costume Jewelry 2006 Values" on page 123. It's price value in this book is $225.00. This brooch was created in an old world design. The brooch features an opalene center stone surrounded by gorgeous ruby red faceted teardrop stones. More opalene cabochons and ruby red cabochons accent the top of this brooch. Five dangles create movement with alternating opalene teardrops and ruby red rhinestones. This is a great example of Florenza jewelry and it is gorgeous. The brooch measures 3" x 2" and the pin is perfectly straight and clasp works just fine. This piece can also be worn as a pendant. The gold tone shows little signs of wear. This very collectible beauty is in excellent condition.

What a find! This fabulous signed " By Gale" necklace and bracelet made with real milk glass and a lot of sparkling clear rhinestones, all prong set in a shiny silver color rhodium plated setting. The necklace is marked " By Gale" with the crown symbol twice, and the bracelet is also marked " By Gale" with the crown symbol. The necklace measures 15" in length and the bracelet measures 8" in length. I see no dead or dull stones in either piece. This wonderful rare vintage set is in perfect vintage condition!

Weiss Gorgeous Signed Demi Parure Book Piece Brooch Earrings
Spectacular 1950's vintage signed Weiss set! The colorful demi parure is pictured on Page 152 of "Rhinestones!" by Nancy Schiffer. The design, materials and workmanship in this wonderful set are wonderful. The pin is constructed atop a hollow filigree rod two inches round upon which are two layers. The center is a clustered melange of a bright red cabochon and fuchsia , Capri Blue and emerald-colored faceted round stones all prong-set in varying sizes set atop a perimeter of textured and openwork antiqued goldtone spiraling loops banded with sapphire blue elongated navettes alternating with tiny emerald-colored faceted round stones and finished with an outer rim of Capri Blue round stones. The pin has a safety closure and has the Weiss oval signature cartouche on the reverse. The matching earrings add ruby sliver navettes to the mix. The Weiss signature is impressed into each clip. Jomaz Signed Enamel Rhinestone Vintage Whale Brooch
This little vintage Jomaz ( Mazer ) whale is just too cute! He is a chunky and bold little guy designed on gold tone metal. This pin has Ecru (off-white) enamel and he has the biggest grin with a mouth full of pave rhinestones. The rhinestones are all clear, bright, and clean. There are no missing stones, no enamel loss, however the enamel has crept over upper lip a little but can only be seen under magnification - obviously done during manufacture. I am told he is gold plated, but I do not know that for sure. Pin stem is straight and clasp is in perfect working condition. Absolutely no signs of wear or damage. He is in mint vintage condition! This pin was rarely worn if worn at all, the condition is grand and still looks almost brand new!

Really cool 1970's signed Napier chunky retro modern necklace in the always popular navy blue and white. Made with shiny thermoset plastic triangle shaped navy and white beads that from somewhat of a zigzag design each spaced with shiny polished gold tone spacers. This necklace is absolutely adorable, just loaded with cherubs. There is a large cherub sitting on a heart with her arms and legs crossed for the center focal. The next two links going up both sides of the necklace are cute little cherubs sitting on a moon. The moon has cut out star shapes on it, and this cherub has his little feet crossed. Going up to the next link on each side, are two flying cherubs, with their legs crossing each other. Next, we have the fancy heart, followed by a sitting cherub. The next two links have that somewhat chubby little cherub sitting on the moon again. The last three links on each side also have cherubs. This necklace is just loaded with delicate small detail. Nice heavy duty fold over clasp. This necklace does have a little wear to the gold tone, but it is still a wonderful piece. Measures 17 inches long and the center has a 2 inch drop.

This Sarah Coventry set, "Blue Lagoon" , was designed and manufactured by DeLizza & Elster (D&E). It is the most recognizable Sarah Coventry set, and has all the qualities of fabulous D&E jewelry.
The set is featured in many books.
I was quickly able to locate it in "The Art Of Juliana Jewelry" book by Katerina Musetti, page 215. I also found this set on page 240 of Julia C Carroll's "Collecting Costume Jewelry 101 and on page 292 of her book "Collecting Costume Jewery 202". This brooch is also on the cover of Marcia "Sparkles" Brown's book "Signed Beauties of Costume Jewelry, Vol II and on page 143 in this book.
This set was only given to the hostesses of Sarah Coventry home shows, and was never offered for retail.

Great for spring and summer, this pretty domed pin has been verified in the files of the Discovering Juliana Jewelry Group. There is lots of figure 8 puddling on the back, a sure D&E characteristic. The rhinestones are fabulous, with a bright blue center rhinestone, surrounded by large rhinestones that are bi-colored. These have both light green and aqua colors, the tops are light green, the bottom is aqua, all set in fancy dog tooth prongs. There are smaller AB rhinestones, darker blue rhinestones and smaller aqua rhinestones. All rhinestones are clear and brilliant. Measures 2 inches in diameter. In excellent condition.

Vendome Faux Pearl and Blue Dangle Earrings
This lovely pair of signed Vendome earrings are very pretty. They are in a gold tone setting with a pretty blue art glass cabochon on the upper portion. The cabochons seem to be highly polished because they reflect everything around them! They have a teardrop faux pearl dangling from top section. There is also a bright clear rhinestone in the center of the upper and lower sections. The gold tone setting is very detailed with raised accents and swirls. These are very classy looking earrings in excellent vintage condition. The clips are tight. These look as if they were rarely worn, if worn at all. They measure 1 3/4 inches long and a little over a half inch wide.

Beautiful vintage 1940's-1950's signed Miriam Haskell earrings with a dangling faux baroque pearl and a large vivid clear rhinestone at the top. Fancy bead cap on the faux pearl, accentuated with two sizes of small clear rhinestones. These wonderful earrings are in excellent condition, showing very little wear and no greenies. One pearl does have a few more dimples, but this is how they were originally made, not an imperfection. They measure 1 1/4 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. Just a wonderful pair of earrings....

This Art Deco tiger lily is such a pretty piece with great curves and detail. the petals are all curled on the tips giving lots of depth to this pin(there is a photo of the pin in the sun with shadows, to give you a visual). the entire flower is covered with round rhinestones, in various sizes. Some of these have darken with age, which is common for a piece this old. Pot metal findings. The pin stem is in good working order but it aged quite a bit. It measures 2 3/4 inches by 2 inches. What a pretty set by Coro. This set was featured in the vintage 1955 Coro Jewelry Magazine ad. This is the entire set as pictured in the ad in excellent vintage condition. The design featured many flowers in very pretty colors. Yellows, lavender, purple, light blue, blue, green and deep yellow. All of this is accentuated with clear rhinestones in round and bar cut. The bar cuts are set in the gold tone. There is minor plating loss on the brooch and at the links of the necklace, but it is still in good wearable condition. The brooch measure 2 inches in diameter, the earrings are 1 1/4 by 3/4 inches and the necklace is 15 inches long. All pieces are signed .

Such a pretty bracelet created with pretty gold tone dogwood flowers. The dogwood has a biblical legend, which parts of the legend can bee seen in this bracelet. This is the legend if you are not familiar with it:
At the time of the crucifixion, the dogwood had reached the size of the mighty oak tree. So strong and firm was the wood that it was chosen as the timber for Jesus' cross. To be used for such a cruel purpose greatly distressed the dogwood. While nailed upon it, Jesus sensed this, and in his compassion said. Such a beautiful necklace and so very unusual for Coro. Inner row of pretty gold beads followed by long tubular white plastic beads. There is a pretty linked chain row next and then a complete row of white plastic dangling beads. Just a fabulous necklace. There are a couple beads at the back of the necklace, that have yellowed a bit. Most likely from perfume. Other than this there are some minor scratches, not visible to the naked eye. The chain also shows some minor wear. Overall condition is still very good.
This really is an awesome piece and not one that turns up very often!

This dragonfly pin is absolutely gorgeous. The body of the dragonfly has a large oval faceted green rhinestone and his head has round pavéd stones. His pretty tail has a multi-section look, each section having one green and one opaque clear rhinestone. The pretty wings are spectacular, accentuated with two sizes of red navettes, red ovals,light purple navettes, deep yellow square rhinestones and a pretty bright green round rhinestone. there are also small topaz color, green and purple stones. The top of each wing is further enhanced with rows of clear opaque and green stones. The gold tones findings are also fabulous, just look at his cute feet and antennas, so much detail. This set is is from the mid 60's , most likely 1965 from the inventory numbers. During research, with lots of help from my fellow members of Jewel Collect and Jewelry Ring, it is believed this set was only made in small numbers. I searched relentlessly online, and have seen no other examples of this set. I am just short of using the term "rare". Presented in excellent condition. This set is pure eye candy. The gorgeous AB rhinestones of so full of life! There are loops and swirls in a 3d design in somewhat of a knot design with a large round rhinestone in the center. There are 4 dangling strands of rhinestones in various lengths finished with pretty navettes on the ends of each strand. The earrings are made very similar with the knot look design. The base is a gold tone base and it is in excellent condition, showing almost no signs of wear. This fabulous pin from the Juliana line of Delizza & Elster is one of the most recognized D&E pieces. It has Bermuda blue, ice blue and teal blue rhinestones.
Among the D&E characteristics are the built in pin assembly, the eyelet and the support ring. This pin is a matching piece to the set seen on page 194 of Katerina Musetti's book " The Art of Juliana Jewelry". This pin is not signed, however, D&E also made this exact same design for Capri, which can be seen on page 211 in pink and gold tone. You can see both the front and back views on this page.
I can honestly say that my photos are not capturing the pretty sparkle on this brooch. It is much prettier in person.
The brooch measures 2 by 2 inches and is in very good condition, however a couple of the small ice blue stones are beginning to discolor, which is barely noticeable. Priced accordingly.

Very pretty grapes brooch by Coro with sparking purple rhinestones and pretty detailed leaves. This particular Coro pin was made in both silver and gold tones, and with many different colors of rhinestones. This one, has the most realistic colors of all the ones I have seen. It measures 1 1/2" wide x 2 1/8" long. The pin stem is a bit loose, but still works fine. I would still rate it in good condition. It is signed twice, once on the pin bar, and also signed with the Pegasus Coro mark on the back of the brooch. Two Orange Enamel Flower Brooches
Two orange flower brooches perfect for spring and summer. First, there is a painted tin flower with a brown center and green stem. Each flower petal has two layers of tin. The second pin is made of metal, it is a daisy with a bumble bee. It is an older piece, and does have a little wear, but still in very wearable condition. The tin flower is in excellent condition. Not all the Stanley Hagler jewelry was signed. Many accounts held exclusives on certain designs. They would market the pieces as "theirs". I guess it's similar to the "jobbers" in Frank's (DeLizza) book.
I know that when we did a line for Ivana Trump's jewelry company, they requested them unsigned. They then went on to market as Ivana's personal designs...she personally designed...LOL!! I think they were on QVC, if I remember. Also, all of the Korean boutiques in NYC would remove the tags. I guess it was their way of keeping the customers from finding their jewelry source.

This set is quite an unusual design for D&E, aka Juliana. Made with green and green AB navette rhinestones. It accentuated with green chatons creating a straight line thorough the center of the navettes. There is a half circle at the bottom of the V-shape with a green teardrop. The findings are shiny gold tone with built in pin assembly. I have had this pin verified by Mr. Frank Delizza, owner of Delizza & Elster through the Juliana Jewelry site. Triad Signed Rare AB Rhinestone Brooch & Earrings Set
Triad demi parure consisting of brooch & clip earrings. TRIAD was a distinguished Canadian jewelry manufacturer in the 1940s era. Their jewelry was of exceptional quality, and in the marketplace before the famed Sherman jewels. This set has all prong set round AB rhinestones that sparkle blue and purple colors mostly. The rhinestones are set in various heights with the larger rhinestones being higher. The perfect match earring are made with similar AB rhinestones, and are accented with a grouping of 3 smaller lavender rhinestones atop each earring (see photo). Just a lovely 60+ year old set. This Juliana piece by D&E has such a very detailed pretty floral design with both open and closed back rhinestones in pretty amber, smoke and topaz colors. It has several known D&E characteristics, the cast molded stem that serves as the flower stems on this piece, the small eyelets, built in pin mechanism and both open and closed back rhinestones in various shapes and sizes. Measures 2 3/4" by 2" . In very good condition, but does have a few scratches on the larger rhinestones,not noticeable to the naked eye. The hot color this year in all the clothing magazines are tones of brown. This would go perfectly with so many of them.

Most known for his Juliana line, there is so much more to be discovered. He is very much an aid in identifying these pieces, and this necklace has been confirmed by him. How large you ask? He has a wing span of 5 1/2 inches and is also 5 1/2 inches long. Made of heavy gilt metal, with filigree wings, accentuated with green and coral cabochons.
The body of the butterfly is 5 1/2 inches long and he has a pretty coral glass cab for his head and a twisted rope look antennas. This fabulous butterfly is made with 5 adjoining pieces, each joined by lined metal connectors. The same type as you see on so many Juliana 5 link bracelets. Wow ! Wow! Wow! HUGE D&E swallowtail butterfly signed in 2 places. Thanks to Frank DeLizza, we are discovering so many unknown DeLizza & Elster designs. Most known for his Juliana line, there is so much more to be discovered. He is very much an aid in identifying these pieces, and this necklace has been confirmed by him. How large you ask? He has a wing span of 5 1/2 inches and is also 5 1/2 inches long. Made of heavy gilt metal, with filigree wings, accentuated with green and coral cabochons.
The body of the butterfly is 5 1/2 inches long and he has a pretty coral glass cab for his head and a twisted rope look antennas. This fabulous butterfly is made with 5 adjoining pieces, each joined by lined metal connectors. The same type as you see on so many Juliana 5 link bracelets. Once previously believed to be D&E, even verified as D&E by Mr. Delizza, we have now learned these are large figural necklaces signed DEC, were made with D&E designed molds, however the molds were stolen. That said, it is a D&E design, but it is unknown "who" actually made them. There are some of these exact same pieces that are not signed, and these were made by D&E before the theft occurred.

Great "Galaxy" brooch or pendant and earrings set by Sarah Coventry, featured in "Signed Beauties of Costume Jewelry, Vol II" by Marcia "Sparkles" Brown on page 149, and the stated value is $45-$52. Very ornate light goldtone scroll work findings are accentuated with confetti pear shaped cabochons, sparkling clear AB rhinestones and faux pearls. The pearls have all been replaced with top quality glass pearls, due to the yellowing glue and luster loss on the originals. There is some very minor plating loss, but I wood still rate this fabulous book piece set in very good condition. Brooch measures 3 by 3 inches and the earrings measure 1 1/4 inches. Don't forget that this brooch also has a hook to be worn as a fabulous pendant! I have photographed it on a silvertone chain, as a pendant. This is a pretty vintage set, with lots of faux pearls and hot pink rhinestones. The pearls are in in various sizes to form what appears to be a flower bouquet. The hot pink icing rhinestones in two rows seem to be the leaves. The gold color base makes the stems of the bouquet. The earrings are also very pretty, made with like rhinestones & faux pearls. The finish on the pearls is in good condition, and the pink rhinestones are all vibrant. The gold tone setting is in great condition also, but does show some color loss on the back. The earrings clips are tight and unusual. This set is unsigned, however it has top quality craftsmanship.

Triad Signed Rare AB Rhinestone Brooch & Earrings Set
Triad demi parure consisting of brooch & clip earrings. TRIAD was a distinguished Canadian jewelry manufacturer in the 1940s era. Their jewelry was of exceptional quality, and in the marketplace before the famed Sherman jewels. This set has all prong set round AB rhinestones that sparkle blue and purple colors mostly. The rhinestones are set in various heights with the larger rhinestones being higher. The perfect match earring are made with similar AB rhinestones, and are accented with a grouping of 3 smaller lavender rhinestones atop each earring (see photo). Just a lovely 60+ year old set. This Juliana piece by D&E has such a very detailed pretty floral design with both open and closed back rhinestones in pretty amber, smoke and topaz colors. It has several known D&E characteristics, the cast molded stem that serves as the flower stems on this piece, the small eyelets, built in pin mechanism and both open and closed back rhinestones in various shapes and sizes. Measures 2 3/4" by 2" . In very good condition, but does have a few scratches on the larger rhinestones,not noticeable to the naked eye. The hot color this year in all the clothing magazines are tones of brown. This would go perfectly with so many of them.

This is a fabulous hard to find necklace signed by Joseph Wiesner. It has a lot of very sparkly aqua blue navettes in various sizes, all prong set. Beautiful Large 6 Link Vintage Rhinestone Faux Pearl Bracele
This is a beautiful unsigned bracelet. This bracelet has a wide fold over clasp with six links. Each link is adorned with pretty purple and green rhinestones, accentuated with small faux pearls. The center stones alternate between pretty lavender rhinestones and pale pink moonglow cabs. The antique gold tone is very detailed. This beautiful bracelet is very substantial in size, measuring a tad over 1 inch wide and 7 1/4 inches long. I am not positive who made this piece, but it truly is a lovely bracelet. It is in very good vintage condition.$65USD

Gorgeous set! This fabulous bib necklace & chandelier earrings set is most likely an unsigned Kramer set. I asked friends of Jewel Collect to help me in ID'ing this unsigned beauty. Several names came up, and I will tell you what I learned. First of all, Sherman was mentioned. It can not possibly be Sherman because Sherman did not put rhinestones on his hooks and also because his extender chains were always loop-stone-loop and this necklace is stone-stone-stone a characteristic of both Kramer and Weiss. Further research found many examples of Kramer signed pieces similar to this necklace, using the same stone shapes and style. Therefore it is an educated guess that Kramer designed this set. This set is double plated, a very high quality characteristic and the rhinestones used are fabulous, still bright and shiny after all these years. Beautiful and such an uncommon color! This signed Lisner set with pale yellow and lemon yellow translucent Lucite leaves is just fabulous. It is accentuated with citrine yellow rhinestones. The necklace is adjustable from 13 to 17 inches, the bracelet measures 7 inches long and a substantial 1 inch wide. The fabulous large clip on earrings measure 1 1/2 by 1 1/4 inches. I am hesitant about calling this set rare, but it is a very hard to come by color, all pieces in excellent vintage condition.
